Warm colours, in particular burnt orangescheap throw pillow covers, reds and deep intense yellows are used to compliment dark wooden furniture. Having an accent wall was also a hallmark of this style of interior and once again we see this being re-introduced on today's interiors.

Instantly recognisable with its straight, clean lines. There were no pieces with elaborate ornamentation as this went against the grain of the Mission style. Hand-crafted and bespoke pieces are ideal, but there's plenty of newer designs which will work beautifully with this style of interior.

Dark wooden blinds would make the ideal window covering more especially if it's the same colour as furniture and furnishings.

I cannot express the overwhelming feeling of accomplishment one gets after hand assembling and addressing invites, over two hundred! I feel as though half my to-do list has been triumphantly checked off. What a task that guest list was! I think deciding who to invite has been the hardest part of planning thus far! But thanks to my awesome fiance and maid of honor helping to narrow down the list, collect addresses, stuff envelope after envelope, and even licking the gross strip on the back to seal them (why do they make them that way anyways?), we are DONE! Oh sweet victory. I couldn't help but share the finished product with you all…

Soft lilac, lavender and pink shades will create warm and cosy environments and vivid pinks and deeper purple pinks and tints will provide perfect bold accents.

In August, we suddenly had a heat wave in the Yukon (in northern Canada). Normally summer is almost over at this time of year, and when I went shopping for a sleeveless top, all I could find were down-filled vests and jackets!
